London, Feb.9 : Former England football star Paul Gascoigne was behind bars again last night after his second arrest in 24 hours.

The wayward footie hero was held following a fracas at a hotel, reports The Sun.

He was first arrested on Sunday evening for alleged drink driving. On Monday, he walked straight to the hotel bar and downed a pint of lager and then went out to a petrol station for alcohol and cigarettes.

A source close to Gazza said: "When he came back with a bottle of spirits, hotel staff didn't want him there and called the cops after he started ranting."

Durham Police confirmed that a second man had also been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
